Family Celebration: My cousin was confirmed Monday. For his confirmation name he chose St. Anthony of Padua; the great Franciscan & patron of the best Franciscan province in the country. I took it upon myself to give a “quiz” after the ceremony. You have to do a report on the saint you choose so I figured why not. He couldn’t name his feast day (June 13) or know that he’s a patron of Franciscans. If you’re going to pick a certain saint for your confirmation name at least know their feast day & who/what they’re patron of. Yes, I’m Catholic. Why do you ask?
I Got Mail: Rachel sent me a CD she made just for me. It’s full of some of her favorite tunes. I love new music, especially if it’s given to me by a friend who really cares for me. I can tell she really took time picking out each song. I haven’t stopped listening to it. I have a few new favorite songs. I wish I knew the titles & artists! Some of these would be really awesome songs to meditate to. I think the best surprise of it all was one of the tracks is one of my favorite songs that I was thinking about sending her. I love when I find out that a friend has similar tastes when it comes to music. I really believe music has the power to break down barriers & more importantly the power to heal. Thank you for the music Rachel. It has been a source of inspiration for me & will continue to be. Thanks for taking the time to include a note too. I’ll carry it with me for those times I need a little extra pick me up to “Keep on keepin’ on!” It means a lot to me to know that you have so much faith in me & what God has in store for me. I look forward to seeing what paths the Lord with lead us down.

By the way, the price of stamps goes up 2 cents on Monday.
Library Addition: I’m reading The Covenant in Action. It’s given me a lot to think about & I plan on using what I learn to make a difference no matter the size.
Transition Time: God has really been working on me the past few weeks. From my point of view it’s been good & not so good. I’m trying to remain faithful & trust in Him completely. On a more positive note my best friend & I are flying full force into a project that we both hope will have an impact. I don’t want to go into any details since it’s in the very early stages. Please keep us in your thoughts.
Rock Update: His allergy shots are working! Let’s hope they keep working. He’s also eating some kind of hay product instead of regular hay to cut down on dust. Yes, it appears he’s somewhat allergic to dust. Oh, how I love my 4 legged friends. He was really “hot” on Wednesday. The noise of the fans in the ring bothers him. Hopefully he’ll have some training to help this new behavior. I’ll be really hot in the ring come August, speaking from years of experience, if the fans can’t be used around him. When Kat & I wished for fans in the ring, about 10 years ago, we should’ve wished for horses that would put up with them. Way to go us, right Kat?
Sisters For Life: Check out the blurb they got on MTV! Yay Sisters!

New Rider: The latest edition of “Rider” is out. Of course I’m more interested in the pictures than the articles. There are some really good pictures of Patti out on a trail.
