About

I’m a 20-something whose future is wide open. I’m a lover of all things random because I’m a person made up of random facts.

“My family is big and loud but they’re my family. We fight and we laugh and yes, we eat meatballs off a fork while in the hammock in the back yard. And where ever I go, what ever I do they will always be there.”
-Adapted from My Big Fat Greek Wedding

As much as I have faith in God I often find myself at odds with Him, and the beliefs of the Catholic Church; just because I struggle doesn’t mean I have to give up, or that I’m going to.

I believe in the power of prayer but I’m still waiting for the biggest of mine to be answered.

“God always answers prayer, but sometimes the answer is ‘No!’…….”
-A spiritual mentor

I’m a lifelong member of “Club Disability,” even though I’ve experienced several setbacks and may very well continue to do so God has made a way for me on many occasions. But as with any club membership has its privileges and I’ll take those rewards any day.

“Sometimes, it is easier to navigate on the racecourse than to navigate in life.”
-Maureen McKinnon-Tucker

After leaving on a jet plane & achieving two long term dreams in one shot I’ve resettled to fulfill the next part of the Lord’s plan for me. After going through a period of emotional detox from life in the west I’ve settled into a waiting game with God. During this time I’m keeping busy trying to focus on the future and endless possibilities.

I love art, especially film, that the ability to move mountains and move people, even if it calls attention to the seemingly negative as well as positive.

Welcome to my neck of the woods. I hope you like it enough to stay a while. If not, thanks for visiting.

If you’d like to start from the beginning help yourself.

“My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day’s a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the longest stride”
-“If Today Was Your Last Day,” Nickelback

  1. I can’t believe no one’s commented on this yet. This is an awesome “My history” page. Much better than my current “About” page, though that’s going to change soon thanks to this. I love all the links and quotes included too. Thanks for taking the time to write it up.

  2. Wow, what a great ‘about me’ page!! I agree with the first two comments- I feel like I know you now! ha : )
I found your blog through Ellie STumbo’s CP connection…and will be following it from now on!

  3. You and I share many of the same beliefs, only my prayers, hopes and dreams are for my daughter! Even though I know how hard it is to do- Never give up hope!

  4. I read several of you posts before coming here to the “About” page. I like your blog a lot. It resembles what I’m currently urging my son to do… he’s 11 with CP. I am at the beginning stages of helping him find outlets for expressing his inner feelings and hopes, his trials and tribulations. He’s an awesome kid, very active, likes the outdoors, hates sitting still. I also would like to recommend Cerebral Palsy Family Network. You may already be familiar with it, but it’s a great resource for our family. We’ve found so many great things through them. Anyway, thanks for sharing and keep blogging!

  5. Just found your blog on Love That Max and was reading this as I listened to…. If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback. I was reading the lyrics and listening to them and it took me a second to realize it. :)
